1. Does everything that appears in the newspaper automatically go onto the website?

Please note that not every article that appears in print is automatically put onto the web as we do not always possess the copyright to republish it.

2. How do I obtain a back issue of the Guardian or Observer newspaper?

Copies of the Guardian and Observer are available from a company called "Remember When" whose archive for both newspapers dates back to the last century.

3. How can I suggest useful links to accompany articles?

Please go to our How to contact page, which has contact details for all guardian.co.uk websites.

4. How do I send a letter to the Guardian?

You can email messages at letters@guardian.co.uk, fax letters to 0207 837 4530, or post them to: 119 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3ER.

We do not publish letters where only an email address is supplied; please include a full postal address and a reference to the relevant article. If you do not want your email address published, please say so. We may edit letters.

How do I send a letter to the Observer?

Faxes and emails, which may be edited, are more likely to arrive in time for publication than letters sent by post. They should be short, include a full name and postal address. You can email letters@observer.co.uk (please insert 'Letter to the editor' in the subject field), fax 0207 713 4250/4286, or post to the following address: Letters to the Editor, The Observer, 119 Farringdon Road London EC1R 3ER (to be received by 5pm Thursday).

Is there a letters page specifically for the website?

No, the letters page is the one for the newspaper.

5. How do I get work experience at the Guardian?
